Your city's tendency to serve whichever Divine cause its Imperiate happens to swear to is more a source of amusement than upset around these parts.

You raise monuments to War, but you claim to desire only peace. You claim you will defend your sovereignty to the last, but you seem to have no desire to defend the sovereignty of your Lord when it is challenged in earnest by retaliating soldiers. Perhaps it is you who are confused as to what you stand for.

No matter. It should not be a surprise to you that the conflict continues, given that you have failed to meet our demands. But I suppose failure to follow through is custom in Cyrene, too.
