Recusants,
I have kept off of these boards for quite some time, despite the repeated attempts to slander my name by you or those who harbour you. I will not respond to these petty and childish insults or accusations, as they have no bearing upon myself. I serve the Lightbringer, and Her opinion is the only one I care for.
However, there have been multiple posts regarding the stance of the Dawnspear, and accusations that we are attacking followers of Good. Or, somehow, that we are thwarting your subversion of Evil by doing so. Misconceptions abound, and it is time to set them right.
The Dawnspear is the bastion for Good upon the Prime. The Bloodsworn are the authority on Good, here, and without Their founding of Targossas - the followers of Good would still be huddled in New Hope talking about days gone past. I know this because I, too, was a Refugee alongside many of you.
Service to Good will never be as fruitful outside of the Dawnspear as it is within it. The Bloodsworn's benevolence to give us Their grace and a modicum of Their power to serve Good is something that cannot be replicated anywhere else upon the Prime. It is not the position of the Dawnspear that you cannot serve Good where you stand. Lesser though it may be, service is service.
We did not set upon you from the moment that you left. Some of you were even given leave, entirely irregular as it was, to depart the Dawnspear without being branded an enemy. That said, outright slander, rejection of Their guidance, and hypocrisy is beyond what we will tolerate.
The ethos of your organisation, as I will call it, is aligned with Good while removing yourself from reliance upon Divine doctrine. So be it.
Yet, your leader that you all die for over and over again when he courageously emerges from the mansion of his husband, refuses to abdicate His Order. He has taken to corrupting His sacred grounds, and abusing His powers. There are no rogue members of the Aarashi, or the Caefir. To serve Them is to serve the Dawnspear. If you wish to serve elsewhere, then you may - but you will not retain Their powers to do so. This is hypocrisy that cannot be allowed to stand.
This same leader spent the final several years of his tenure as Dawnlord hiding in tents and keeps surrounded by Darkwalkers. Not long afterwards, he left Their service and started all of this. That you all do not see the clear implications of this, as claimed servants of Good, is worrisome to say the least. This reality is yours to bear.
You claim you wish to serve Good - you may do so.
You claim Agency - it is yours.
You have renounced Their service - it is done.
What you will not do is claim all of this while still retaining Their gifts.
The battle ends when Sothantos commits entirely to your cause - and removes himself from the Divine doctrine completely that he so loudly distances himself from.
Until then, he will be an enemy and treated as such, while those who support and defend him will be treated the same. There is no other way. His will has been imparted, and His will shall be done.
This ends when Sothantos wishes it to. You will stop being harried, and slain, when he renounces this hypocrisy that he has clung to - or you abandon him to his hypocrisy alone.
We offer you Clemency, it is up to you to take the olive branch.
With Hope,
