Hail, Sapience.

Welcome to the eleventh month of the Asterian Festival of History.

Consult Public post #20714 for instructions on how to participate. Those who complete at least six months' worth of tasks and/or events will earn a truly unique historical memento; the more months you complete, the more intricate your reward.

Note: You are only required to complete either ONE task or attend ONE event per month to qualify, and you must note this in your journal. You can complete the tasks of previous months that you have missed as well - simply refer to the correct post.

Theme
------
The only thing known about Lord Glacius, Who this month is named after, is that He once marched alongside Lord Shaitan and His Dreadlords against Entropy and Discord in the Chaos Wars. With such mystery surrounding His identity and realm, the theme of this month therefore is: mystery.

Monthly Journal Task
---------------------
Only the limitations of mortal memory make the past a mystery, for what has been was once known. However, there is no greater enigma than the future, for what has not come to pass yet may not ever be - or may inevitably be.

Complete one (1) of the following tasks:

[Task 1]
The famed Oracle Apollonia has made many prophecies regarding the future and is regularly consulted for advice. Read the tome "Apollonia, the Oracle of the Mannaseh, Speaks". A copy is available in the Ingram Cairo Memorial Library in the Asterian Athenaeum, accessible by TOUCHing the portal in the town centre of New Thera.

Choose one of the prophecies that you are interested in. What do you think the prophecy refers to? Has it come to pass yet, or not yet? Write your best guesses down in your journal.

[Task 2]
There are many mysteries that have yet to be solved in the world. Examples include masterminds with hidden identities, the whereabouts of criminals, the consequences of events and more.

Write about an event or person in history that is particularly mysterious, and present your theories on what the answer to the mystery may be.

Events
-------
Solving mysteries requires you to draw links between seemingly obscure subjects to make connections to form the answer. This month, the Making the Connection event will also see participants practicing that process by finding the commonality between seemingly disparate events.

Whether prophecy or key, the answers to mysteries are often presented as riddles that must be solved. In honour of that tradition, participants will be tasked to solve a set of riddles in the Riddles to Remember event, all with a historical theme.

Refer to AD 192 for dates and use DATE to more accurately gauge the time.

Exhibitions
------------
The second Crafters' Fair remains at the convention grounds of the Asterian Restoration, featuring an enormous variety of crafted goods for sale from all over Sapience. Head north and northeast from the Aster Crossroads to find it. Remember: after Mayan, the portal at Thera closes, so visit before it does.

For a brief time after this post is made, the featured item in the austere gallery at the Asterian Restoration will be an orb that contains memories of mysterious events in history, many of which are still unidentified. SHAKE the orb to witness an event.

The travelling merchant continues to wander the Asterian Restoration grounds. You can travel there easily by TOUCHing the PORTAL at the town centre of New Thera. Ensure you are in perfect health.

The Grand Obsidian Tower in the south of Nimick, an extensive adventurer-run museum with hundreds of relics, remains open for public visits.

Any questions may be directed to myself. Enjoy the Festival.
