Hail, Sapience.

Welcome to the ninth month of the Asterian Festival of History.

Consult Public post #20714 for instructions on how to participate. Those who complete at least six months' worth of tasks and/or events will earn a truly unique historical memento; the more months you complete, the more intricate your reward.

Note: You are only required to complete either ONE task or attend ONE event per month to qualify, and you must note this in your journal. You can complete the tasks of previous months that you have missed as well - simply refer to the correct post.

Theme
------
The month of Phaestian is named after Lord Phaestus, the Smith. It was the Divine Smith that created the world and the creatures that dwell in it, and who gifted mortals with the ability to create on their own. Every created work is, in some ways, a reflection of the creator's thoughts, emotions, and personality - some of which have lasted through the ages and contain a part of history in their existence. Therefore, the theme of this month is: creation.

Monthly Journal Task
---------------------
One of the earliest tributes to the Gods created by mortalkind was the Chapel of All Gods, located near New Thera. Destroyed during the events of the first Black Wave, the chapel was later rebuilt as closely to the original as possible, the relics within it excavated from the old site.

[Task]
WALK TO the Chapel of All Gods and read the scroll near the entrance to learn about its story.

Then, walk through the rooms and examine both the tales told of the architecture of your surroundings, as well as the exhibits themselves. You may interact freely with the exhibits.

Choose an exhibit and draw it in your journal to the best of your ability. Finally, answer the following questions:

- What moment in the War of Humanity is depicted in the room that houses this exhibit?
- Which Divine do you think this artifact is dedicated to?
- Are there any special reactions when engaging with the exhibit?

Events
-------
In celebration of crafting creativity through the land, the second Crafters' Fair begins at the convention grounds of the Asterian Restoration this month. Visitors will see an enormous variety of crafted goods for sale from all over Sapience, and be able to engage with programmes and exhibitions that crafters in residency have prepared. See AD 192 for details. This fair will last as long as the carts do, which is seven (7) months.

The Art and Artifacts auction begins this month as well, where the historical artifacts displayed in AD 171 and the paintings exhibited in the Depicting the Past exhibition will all be auctioned off through a final live auction.
- Note: Bidders have until the auction officially begins to place a maximum bid if they will not be attending the auction in person. Otherwise, bidders must either be present to bid or have a proxy that is capable of making immediate payment for the sale to be valid.

Refer to AD 192 for dates and use DATE to more accurately gauge the time.

Exhibitions
------------
The featured item in the austere gallery at the Asterian Restoration is a pendant that depicts the history of how the Mhun founded Moghedu when it is TURNed.

The travelling merchant continues to wander the Asterian Restoration grounds. You can travel there easily by TOUCHing the PORTAL at the town centre of New Thera. Ensure you are in perfect health.

The Grand Obsidian Tower in the south of Nimick, an extensive adventurer-run museum with hundreds of relics, remains open for public visits.

Any questions may be directed to myself. Enjoy the Festival.
