Hail, Sapience.
The Asterian Restoration is pleased to announce that the Asterian Festival of History has officially begun. Our sincere thanks to those who joined us for the opening ceremony at the Hall of Visionaries in the Asterian Athenaeum.
Consult Public post #20714 for instructions on how to participate in this year. Those who complete at least six months' worth of tasks and events will earn a truly unique historical memento; the more months you complete, the more intricate your reward.
Theme
------
The month of Sarapin is named after Lord Sarapis, the Logos. Our history began when He, as Ayar, created the world in which we exist. The advent of His month also heralds the beginning of a new year. Thus, the theme of this month is: beginnings.
Monthly Journal Task
---------------------
Before humanity existed, there were only the Elder Gods and the Aldar. That era is immortalised in Nur, an Aldar-created land where Saar-elan, the font of Creation, resides. Humanity has since embraced worship of the Divine, and monuments of their faith have existed for centuries.
Complete ONE (1) of the following tasks:
[Task 1]
Visit the Sixth Circle of Nur and either:
1. Listen to tales about the Gods from Eros, the Desire
2. Explore one of the shrines dedicated to the Elder Gods
Record what you have learned about the Divine(s) in your journal.
[Task 2]
Describe either:
1. How an organisation that you belong to was founded
2. How an area or denizen settlement was discovered
Events
-------
Mhaldor is the first to host their Festival showcase this year, comprising theatrical performances and combat duels.
Bidding for artifacts in the Art and Artifacts auction begins. See AD 482 for the full details. Artwork bids will only be accepted from Scarlatan onwards.
Refer to AD 192 for dates and check UPCOMING as well.
Exhibitions
------------
The Grand Obsidian Tower in the south of Nimick is now open for public viewing and will remain so throughout the year. This adventurer-run museum houses the largest collection of relics from bazaars, organisations and vendors in the realm. You may LOOK in the CASE at ITEMs that catch your eye, and borrow from the library for a fee.
Special Notes
--------------
A travelling merchant can be found roaming the grounds at the Asterian Restoration through the festival's duration.
Any questions may be directed to myself. This year, knowledge will transcend boundaries.
Regards,
Jurixe S. Nithilar

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Sarapin, in the year 828 AF.
