Choose Your Path Carefully

Figures Who Hide Their Faces,

We may not be aware of everything you are involved in, but we are aware
of where you come from, and something of your intentions in your
interactions with us. We understand that you wish to preserve Apollonia
as your own oracular resource, and that you are concerned that the mark
placed upon her will interfere with her powers.

The mark was placed upon her with intent to protect her from known
aggressive spirits. Perhaps it was ill-considered, perhaps it was wise,
but it was not intended as a hostile action.

Your actions towards our organization have been unwarrented in their
violence and uncalled for in their extremity. We understand that you
think you are serving the best interests of your city in this, but
believe me, you are not.

Your threats against the Prophet of Babel and his wife have not gone
unnoticed or unheard by those of us who esteem them. At this point, we
are open to communication and dialogue, perhaps even to the extent of
assisting Apollonia in the removal of the mark. We are willing to
attempt an understanding, even if that understanding only extends so far
as peacefully ignoring one another.

However, I believe I speak with the support of the majority of our
people when I saw that if these attacks continue, you will risk earning
our hostility as an organization, which may extend to the hosility of a
newly awakened God, if and when that event occurs.

We wish you no ill, and have no motivation at present for interfering
with your activities. But if you should continue to hunt our leaders,
you risk making an enemy of what might otherwise be a neutral party with
respect to you.

I urge you to consider the potential consequences of your actions. We
may need not interfere with one another, but your present course forces
us to consider our stance.

Cease the attacks, open the channels for sensible dialogue.

With Regards,
Apollodorus Tatharin
