I don't believe I've once made an assumption regarding this subject, nor
have I jumped to any conclusions. In fact, I think I've restricted
myself to suspicions, questions, and completely truthful statements, not
necessarily in that order.

Regarding the statements and/or assumptions of others... I hardly think
lowering one's self to the level one's counterparts is a mature and
admirable act. If your Lady is every bit as .. I'll use kind... as
Goldberry seems to be implying (and if this is not the case, my
apologies for the misinterpretation), I doubt (note that I don't
actually KNOW or presume to KNOW) She'd approve.
