A tad confused..

So I was reading your post about helping villages, sounded like a decent
idea. You know, expand the villages so there is more for me to kill and
all that good stuff. Heavens forbid the villagers aren't rich enough, I
propose we all give the denizens our gold so theres more to pick up when
I slay them.
But see, as I reading your post, there was this sentence that kinda made
me choke on my mint tea. I was half-laughing, half-dumbfounded. I mean,
the boldness of the statement just gripped my nether region and gave it
a twist.
The statement was something like "I see greatness every day in the
actions of Church members whether it be slaying great evil...".
Now by physical standards, I don't see myself as "great". I've lost a
few fights here and there, sucked it up, kept on going, that sort of
thing. But I do know many Mhaldorians who would be considered "great"
fighters, and I really don't see them dying to Church members often.
Sure, Mhaldor and Shallam have had a few skirmishes here and there in
the past few months, but I really don't see any sole Church member
actively hunting and slaying "great Evil".
Unless you count the goblins in Azdun as "great Evil", but then again, I
hunt and slay them as well. Out of boredom, of course. I don't go
charging into Azdun with a holy mace claiming myself to be the victor of
a "great battle against Evil" after slaying a few goblins.
Y'know, unlike those pansies over in Jaru, Mhaldor doesn't have a big
lockable gate to protect us. You're really free to raid us if you want.
You bring some friends, we'll bring some friends, you kill some city
guards, we kill some of you, you kill some of us. We'll have a splendid
time. If you take me up on the offer, of course. Doubtfully so, but its
an open invitation.

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Valnuary, in the year 418 AF.
