Lord Barak d'Nichliz, of the Undercaves

Written by: Riashain
Date: Friday, March 17th, 2006
Addressed to: Everyone

My Lord Barak,

It has been many years since last we spoke. This missive is an apology
of sorts for the slight done to you and yours in my absence.

Some time after my resignation as WarChieftain of the Dwarves, the
Duergar were abolished and given a new name. It is well known to me that
you and yours have no desire to ever be associated with anything related
to Lord Phaestus unless it is damaging. The renaming of the Duergar to
Clan Blackrock is nothing I would ever have sanctioned, and you have my
deepest apologies for the action. As a former WarChieftain I offer full
responsibility for the actions of my kin in my absence. Though I may no
longer be able to force a change, you may feel free to exact any
punishment you desire for the blatant disrespect to your Clan and your
desires. We may have differed in our opinions Lord Chieftain, but my
word is as valuable as anything I can offer, and it has been broken.

In apology,
His Lordship,
Retired WarChieftain and High Baron of Shattered Stone,
Riashain a'Bertal

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Mayan, in the year 416 AF.
