Whatever similarities you choose to draw are your own business. I like
writing short stories sometimes. I think up an idea, and write it all
down within 10 minutes or so. I don't edit it at all, I reread it once
for spelling errors then I am done with it. If you notice, the verb
tenses are incorrect in the first paragraph (the present tense) and the
other paragraphs are in the past (I just noticed this as I reread it
tonight). I make grammatical errors in my writing all of the time. Do I
care? No. I am not trying to make anything a huge production.
