More Rhetoric I see

Mortal,

I apologize for not responding sooner, but the sound of falling shrines
of Pentharian and Mithraea made it a little hard to concentrate on your
words.

While not always My custom to respond to a mortal, allow Me to offer a
little enlightenment upon the "hypocrisy" which you choose to follow. I
will allow Mhaldor's followers to post their own response to your
charges, but since you decided to call out the lies of the Church, then
we will begin. To those in the Church who have contacted me to avert
this current skirmish, you need not bother as the time for negotiations
has passed. If you peruse the public postings, you will see several
years ago that you were warned to end the defilings of My wife and
daughter's shrines, but chose instead to ignore and even mock Me.
Consider this your just reward to those who continued, as their patrons
property will be reduced to rubble without so much as My soldier batting
an eye. I would like to apologize to the Elysians, not really, but
Elysia looks much better without that mass of shrines surrounding
Pentharian's temple.

As far as the fallacies of the Church, I find it odd that I can get a
straight answer from Mhaldor and dare I say the Darkwalkers much easier
than I can the Church. When Mhaldor and I were in conflict, and we are
nowhere near friends now, they and I at least declared aggression
towards each other so there was no mistake on the attacks. Was the
Church as, dare I say, "honourable" as that? Of course not, instead
choosing to follow the route of subversion and denial despite being
caught red-handed on numerous occasions by the followers of each order.
You preach to others about Goodness and being righteous in your beliefs,
yet when confronted you hid within your walls and refused to take the
battle flag at My champions. That, mortal, is why all of Sapience views
your organization with disdain as they thumb their noses at those who
they deem less than themselves, yet hide behind rhetoric and excuses in
the end. Where is the raw courage that was once a foundation of the
Church, or the ideals that made sense at one time? I am disgusted at
what you have become, and will exact my revenge upon the Patrons of the
Defilers until the toll that I have set is justly paid. Should other
followers of various deities jump in, I will have no qualms with
smashing their property as well, not delaying in throwing My full forces
into the field.

The Church of the past is dead, and you are now a former shell of what
you once were. I am glad that My brothers and sisters are not here
presently to see this, as they would be horrified at the cowardice you
now display. Cower in the walls of the Basilica, as the Drums of War are
resounding deep within My temple and the hearts of the Aegeans.

Listen well...do you hear it?...the winds of War are blowing...

Aegis, God of War
