My departure

Greetings Sapience,
For over 100 years I have walked these lands. In my time I have seen
peace and war, love and hatred, warriors and wanderers, friends and
foes. Giving consideration to all of these things, I know I have had a
well spent life. It is with great pleasure that I retire from them. To
all of my enemies, go knowing that you will always be my enemy, for if
ever the roads call me back, I shall continue my hunt. To all of my
allies, no matter what fate holds in store for me, I shall be alive,
somewhere, perhaps to one day find my way back and take up arms with you
once more.
However much conflict I raise with these words shall be taken with a
grain of salt, for my words are my own however shared the opinions are.
I stand by my lifelong aim that the essence of Evil and its mortal
representatives shall never bend knee, and will see through failures to
success, and it shall come, as was promised by our faith.
To Lords Shaitan and Apollyon: First separate Beings, then Lord Sartan,
now separate again. It was as Lord Sartan that I knew You best. Proudly
I reflect on my years of service, for no matter what a mortal man could
say of me, Your opinions seem to have never caused me to faulter. I
shall never truly leave Your service, and should I ever return, I offer
myself to You once more.
To Lady Keresis: When I was lost Your guidance and ways kept me going
and furthered me more then I ever could have on my own. Though we
parted, You shall always have my gratitude, for all of the things only
You know. I wish You and Your fold prosperity. May Vengeance be with all
of them and guide them as it does me.
The Maldaathi Knights: I stood proudly within your ranks once as a Grunt
so many years ago. That pesky novice slowly became a young man, who rose
to knighthood. The Honour that bound me then, binds me still. It holds
together all that I am, and those of you that walk this path shall go
with my commendation. Many years of my life were well spent among you,
and perhaps one day I shall dedicate many more.
For my family: sons, daughters, grandchildren, and the bearers of my
line. You have all played oyur pats in my life, and for them I thank
you. Without all of you I would not be half the man I am today. Even
those of you who follow a 'lighter' calling I take pride in, knowing
that my blood runs through you, so that one day you may come to realize
the true strength that bloodline possesses.
To everyone else I give these final words- You may walk as haphazardly
through these lands as you see fit, but until your life can be dedicated
to something, it means nothing in the larger scale.
Farewell,
Lyradil Aristata
