Debt.

Dearest Sorill,

Anyone with half a mind knows that "A [preemptive] reply" is merely an
attempt to sling mud before it slung in the "replier's" general
direction. I see through it, and I hope that Sapience as a whole sees it
as well. Though in your public post (#15714, for reference) you decided
to "civilly" attack me, I shall stand my ground, and reply with the
facts, and not make references to anything in your life resembling fecal
matter, as you were so bold to do.

Let it be said, though, that I make no pretense at being a model citizen
of any organization, this is, and was never meant, to be a place for
personal attacks. Such unprofessionalism is unbecoming of a lady, or a
Merchant.

Since we're sharing personal messages, I'll add one of my own:

Message #63 Sent by: Sorill
1/23/15:37 "I'm going to pay you out of principle.. know this.. after I
pay you from this day forth, I see you I hunt you. Don't get in my way"

Such open hostility from a Merchant of the Bastion. Or is it of the
Crown? It's hard to place your loyalties between two ever-feuding city
states, but I must say, my dear boy, you have done an exquisite job of
doing so.

Several years ago, I was feeling the grace of Lord Hermes, before His
awakening, and became a multi-millionaire. In my prosperity, I was able
to do many things I had never done before -- one being, help out a
friend in need. If you can recall, dear Sorill, around the same time,
both you and I were up for House Shopkeeper, and as you were currently
doing the job, having a license was not really an option, but a
necessity. These being branded "Merchantile" Shops, success is a must,
yes?

I remember where we stood -- The Southeastern Bazaar in Hashan, just
north of our one House Shop at the time. We spoke of many things from
House Issues, Hashan/Ashtan feuding, and other misc. personal things.
One among the conversation was you mentioning the need of the license in
question. Talking went further, and I offered to _lend_ the gold to you,
as I had plenty at the time. You were hesitant at first, I remember. You
asked me if I was sure that I wanted to lend the gold. I also remember
telling you there was no set timeframe to be paid back, just so long as
it happens.

Your reply was that you bash oodles of gold in the Underworld, when you
can get time away to go hunt. This was good enough for me, you had your
"income" that you were going to use to repay me. In fact, you were
pretty good in the beginning, I believe I received about 10,000 gold
sovereigns from you a few months after you first purchased the license.
Tell me, my dear boy, does someone often begin repaying a "gift" so soon
after receiving? Now that the facts are all out, it does seem a little
strange.

I was not too worried about being repayed, until I learned that you have
changed class. And. Had enough credits/lessons to re-trans your skills.
Clearly you did have the gold to repay me, but chose not to do so. I
remember our last public meeting, in my inebriated state just before I
was enemied to the city I once called home, I asked... one final
friendly time, if you had any gold for me. Your response? "No, I haven't
been able to bash lately." Let's stop playing games, here. You owe me
650,000 gold.

The time has come for me to collect. This is not, and has never been
blackmail. Blackmail is reserved for more lucrative, shady deals. This,
Sorill, is an informal loan between old friends, and I have given many
messages to you, on regards to this subject.

"No good deed goes unpunished, no act of of charity goes unresented...
My road of good intentions led where such roads always lead, No good
deed goes unpunished."

I cannot honestly say to you, Sapience, that I have had purely good
intentions all along. "Good" is subjective. I shall leave you all to
think, with this final quote:

"One question haunts and hurts too much, too much to mention: Was I
really seeking good or just seeking attention? Is that all good deeds
are when looked at with an ice-cold eye?"

All helpful urges should be circumvented.

With deepest regrets at such a pitiful turn of events as well,
