My Near-Fatal Bender

Greetings Adventurers!

After a near-fatal drinking spree, I've decided to post this
re-enactment as a warning to you to be very prepared if you should
decide to have your own personal bender.

To celebrate reaching my 60th. experience level, I decided to imbibe at
the Seadog Tavern, and bought about a dozen Blood Lusts. Having
retreated to my usual hunting grounds on the other side of Ashtan, I
eventually downed all glasses at once and thus began my descent into an
alcoholic nightmare! Eventually my stat read "You are half dead from
drinking. A humorous way to die." 0.0 ??!!

Three unsettling things happened at that point... first, my stomach was
racked with convulsions as I suffered the ravages of alcohol poisoning,
then my sense of direction was destroyed, as I wandered unpredictably,
trying to make my way to a source of food before I, thirdly, almost
starved to death (doesn't being 1h away from oblivion sound like a good
time?!!). I finally found out, via the healinglist, that ginseng would
settle my stomach and goldenseal would ward off the dizzyness. I was
then able to painfully make my way up to the Ugly Humgii Bar, between
bouts of unconsciousness, and begin healing myself. As I unlevelled back
down out of my drunkenness, I had to frequently sleep and eat until I
was sober again.

So there, I survived my first real bender, but just barely...
Adventurers, party hearty but -be prepared- if you wish to take it to
the limit! Cheers! Wyrax, the Imbiber 😀

ps ~ For those who are wondering about the drug gleam, I also once had a
brief experience with it. After a single hit, my only one, I had no
physical effects and had only a minor first addiction sign... pesty
thoughts, lasting a day or so, that I would really love to have more,
that I needed more, etc. ... yadda, yadda! I cannot imagine what those,
truly addicted to gleam, must have to endure!...

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Miraman, in the year 412 AF.
