Your post to Flair and the Followers of Babel

Goldberry,

First off, allow me to say congratulations. Despite all the criticism
you have taken since beginning your crusade for the True Light, you seem
to be sticking to your ideals. The followers of Babel are not strangers
to bad public reception. If nothing else, we have this in common, and
your passion and persistence are aspects of your movement that I can
respect.

However, I still believe you pursue a fool's errand. Next time you would
do best to research your opponent before taking such a strong stance.
For instance, give the Mythos another read-through. The first act of
Sarapis was to "create a patron for those who would seek Chaos". This
patron was Lord Babel. You cite the presence of Lord Babel and his
followers as what has sent "Creation spiraling into a freefall of
corruption". Sarapis introduced Lord Babel so that Chaos would be less
likely to overthrow the balance of Creation as it had in the Chaos Wars.
Where is your ground to stand on?

Balance, you see, is key to maintaining existence. The Mythos speculates
that the two realms Ayar fabricated, the realm of Creation and the realm
of Chaos, are dependent upon one another. Think of them as being
balanced on two sides of a scale. What happens when you remove weight
from one half of a scale? The other half comes crashing down. You can't
expect to eradicate Chaos without negative consequences.

At first glance the idea of a world without Chaos may seem a bit
utopian, but you have to ask yourself exactly what Chaos offers. Remove
Chaos and you remove the unknown. Without the unknown, change would
cease. Mortal creatures would fail to evolve. Anything from which
uncertainty is bred would no longer be possible. You would forfeit
emotion, creativity, thought, movement, and your free will, even the
very breath you take would cease to be, because there's no telling what
could happen as a result of it. The world would lay down and die if
there were not some Chaos present.

You are free to keep whatever beliefs you may desire, however, you must
realize that to continue this crusade will ultimately bring your
downfall...and perhaps even the death of the Creation you hope to
preserve. Deep down you know as well as I that balance must be
maintained, and that true balance includes all the forces within
Creation, not just the one you follow. You have allowed your concern for
the world to become fanatical. As a fanatic you only end up emulating
the injustice and evils that you perceive. I wish you the best of luck
in your endeavors--- you will sorely need it.
