The Fire

The fires burn into the night
Casting their warm glow upon me
The heat sears my flesh
It's light is all that I see
My hand reaches out to touch
The flames which burn so bright
It's burning tongue caresses
Burns with all it's might
A silent scream escapes me
Yet I do not pull away
The pain a bliss that calls
Pleads for me to stay
I give into her power
Drawn to her burns
It is her beauty
For which my heart yearns.

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Daedalan, in the year 282 AF.
