Light, a jewel in the sky so bright,
Painting dusk in hues of twilight.
Like the sun that caresses the endless sea,
Like hope that lingers in misery.

Yet behind it, Darkness waits in vain,
A word that sparks a trembling pain.
A phrase so fair yet lost in sight,
Symbolizing eternity in fleeting light.

Oft we wonder deep inside,
Echoing thoughts we cannot hide.
"Does Light always bring what's true?"
"Does Darkness only sorrow strew?"

Questions that haunt the restless mind,
Seeking truth, yet hard to find.
To part the good from wicked guise,
To tell the sun from moonlit skies.

But the wise once spoke with grace,
"Which of these holds truest place?
The Light that never fades away,
Or Darkness, shrouding the world to stay?"
