The Ballad of a Lost Love

Love& a word with a radiant crown,
Like dawn that soothes where night has drowned.
Yet in its glow, so warm, so bright,
Lies hidden wounds that bind so tight.

I carved my dreams on twilight's crest,
With threads of fate in vows confessed.
Hoping to age in love's embrace,
Yet dreams have crumbled, lost in space.

Oh, blind are eyes that love adorn,
Veiled in silk, by whispers torn.
Deaf to truth's unspoken sigh,
Fooled by oaths that fade and die.

I thought her smile was fate's decree,
Her gaze-a sonnet penned for me.
Yet now she drifts, a ghost so slight,
A shadow lost in silent flight.

Was I deceived, or led astray?
Like morning dew that fades away.
It kissed the earth, then bid farewell,
And left me lost in sorrow's spell.

No lies were told, no vows betrayed,
Just love unbloomed and dreams decayed.
To her, I was a passing breeze,
Yet I have drowned in memories.

O sky, embrace the tears I cry,
For fragile stands this heart of mine.
I long to sink in ocean deep,
Yet waves deny me peace in sleep.

So let me walk, though lost, though blind,
With neither light nor fate to find.
For love, though fierce in burning scars,
Shall linger soft in faded stars.

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Valnuary, in the year 967 AF.
