Iron-clad a Knight's word is
Never do their vows relent
And so let Knights never forget
Scarlatti's Great Rock Tournament
Protege of Archaeon
Then Squire of Ser Fitz
Ulvin of the Chaos Court
Seeking glory did enlist
Great Bard, Himself, ordained his foe
Elimination on the line
A young and unknown challenger
Eager for his time to shine
Of Sentry Alexanderin
Warrior of Vashnar Shield
None gathered there had heard of him
When he stepped upon the field
Veteran of duel and Conquest
The Squire's prowess proven true
With Chivalry at heart he spoke
"The first three blows I give to you"
The Sentry stepped forth resolute
Drew Valley steel from its sheathe
He knew Eternal Capital
And boldly answered with a Cleave
The Squire saw his fate was sealed
His word once given would not bend
He stood his ground 'gainst whirling blade
And with Honour met his end
Iron-clad a Knight's word is
Pages learn this from their sires
But from this tale let Knights recall
What they should learn from Squires
Penned by my hand on the 24th of Mayan, in the year 966 AF.
