I watch these boards, attention rapt
This clash of ink, this war of words
Spectator of a sport as apt
As any noble duel of swords

Flyting is a Knightly art
To provoke with class and flair
We with bold and honest hearts
Chide our foes with haughty air

I cast my points on arrow's shaft
Committed rhyme to battle
'Gainst Gaian Knights and Overseer
Reader gauge the stronger mettle

But scathing came a missive raw
From unexpected author wrote
I did not envy Eastern walls
Beset by Vashnar Shieldlord's strokes

And fortunate it breaks no oath
To marvel at the span of oceans
Between my verse and that of both
Baelgrim priest and blunt Targossian

I salute you, gentlemen
You bring honour to your name
Pray show your skill anon, again
Game must nod respect to game
