With Friends Like Means

With friends like means, you've painted a ghastly scene
Making trade of camaraderie, mercantile sociability

The problem, you see,
You conflate likeability, with overall morality
Being nice to me, with being good to me

But creation has needs, and they're not necessarily nice
They don't encompass every device or every biting lice
The difference is that we're willing to pay the price
Without heeding every trite rite, and without everyone enticed
Standing alone to excise every vice from paradise

Because you hope for a Creation defended by one and all
Took your eyes off the ball, fell short of an order tall
And you scream at us, what about one and all??
what about one and all?
what about one and all

But one and all doesn't have the gall to draw
The needed catchalls to avoid extermination protocols

And while none are beyond redemption
One must seek exemption, or fall prey to the tension
between dissension and ascension

So when you accuse us of shouting
"Look what you made me do"
"Look what you made me do"
"Look what you made me do"
Please note that I don't blame you
How is it that I could I blame you?

When you've already shown you lack the fiber
To learn a lesson taught you once
Keep bringing friends from afar
to join you as your trounced

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Ero, in the year 954 AF.
