When Heroes Fall

When heroes fall, the earth stands still,
Their valor fades, their voices chill.
The ones they shielded, now alone,
Their strength and courage, turned to stone.

The sky grows dark, the wind screams loud,
Their absence felt, a haunting shroud.
Who'll mend the broken, who'll dry the tears,
When heroes fall, and leave us here?

Their memory lives, their legacy strong,
But who'll step forward, when things go wrong?
The fear and despair, of those left behind,
When heroes fall, a world confined.

Their sacrifice echoes, through the land,
We hold their flame, in trembling hand.
When heroes fall, we stand in their place,
And carry on, with strength and grace.

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Mayan, in the year 949 AF.
