feathers

Have you e'er felt the joy that comes with flight?
Warm winds beneath my wings as I ascend,
Beneath clear skies, I soar to wondrous heights,
And dance among the clouds, who'd want for more?

My wings, my feathers preened to sheer delight,
They catch the hues of sunseta painted eve,
With them, we bind our hearts in love's true light,
Are they enough to make you never leave?

I love you more than flights through azure skies,
Together, we can brave the storm's dark grey,
A feather each, we dance as winds arise,
You are the warmth that brightens all my days.

But Ia the one who flew away from you,
I bear the blame for having naught to view.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Lupar, in the year 949 AF.
