You are not alone

I see you standing out upon the cobble street
A tender heart, kind, but afraid to be
Hurt again, please... my friend

You hide there in the city square, in plain sight
All alone, even when surrounded by our city's might
I am here, and I care

Yes, I know your name
I see you every day
I turn my head, when we pass along the street
The one who looks for you
The one who hopes for you
Passing by, do you even know my name?

So stay with me, and I will guard your fragile heart
A caring shield, my faith in you will ever play its part
Never fear, I am here

You are not alone, I know your pain, and feel it too
Don't shame your tears, there are others here... just like you
I am glad you came, I am the same

Yes, I know your name
I see you every day
I turn my head, when we pass along the street
The one who looks for you
The one who hopes for you
Passing by, do you even know my name?
... Do you even know my name?

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Scarlatan, in the year 949 AF.
