A Flower's Tale

A garden begins with a single seed,
to produce a single flower, or plant.
Sunshine and water to meet its needs.
Slowly and surely doth it grow,
blossoming to beauty, for eyes to behold

I ask what occurs when it is not nurtured?
What happens when there are weeds?
The unwanted fighting what's desired,
it twists into a corrupted seed.

Pricked by a thorn, tearing its delicate bloom.
A thistle overpowering, stunting its growth.
A nefarious weed causing a corrupted groom,
unable to for its full development to take hold.

Yet what can a gardener do when life does not thrive?
When the environment causes beauty to slowly die.
They may take the stunted plant and change where it resides.
A new garden, a new purpose, for its life to take stride.
