Poetry News Post #6130

Evanescent Planet

Written by: Director Sareia Stella'aria, Abstruse Machinator
Date: Friday, December 1st, 2023
Addressed to: Everyone

Caged in silver that burns,
One that breaks and turns
Upon itself and traps a prisoner
Deeper than the self that learns

That life is not what it seems
It never is, no, it never is
Make and unmake me at the seams
Have I missed no, I won't miss

A single chance to take
Would I do all to break
Myself from this silver cage
And learn to make my shadows fade

My shadows fade,
My shadows fade,
My shadows fade

[A symbol of a snowblossom twined with a white snake is drawn at the end of the post.]

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Aeguary, in the year 933 AF.
