Dandelion

Written by: Ryssa Embersong

Every breath,
from first to last,
bear your hopes.
Live faith's path.

Be resilient
as the root of this weed,
and carry on,
dandelion seed.

Even as I shatter
to a thousand pieces,
carry my mem'ries
upon the wind.

Fragments of our hearts
mingle to dying lights.
Rise to ignite new stars
in heaven's heights.

Shatter my heart,
rend my soul.
Fate upon the winds,
dreams in sun dust.
Find new life
in a dandelion's wish.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Miraman, in the year 924 AF.
