A Story

Let me tell you a story about a traveler who lost their way
They had left miles behind, there was no inn to find or stay
The wind was blowing as a storm brought down its fierce wrath
Their cloak was whipped about them, no way to remain unscathed
The air howled its fury as lightning began to pierce the skies
Air sizzled and cracked as a tree was struck, nowhere to lie

The path ahead was muddied and became far less than clear
The traveler was turned about as rain soaked food so dear
Each step forward and the mud tried to suck their feet in
Even battles had a chance to avoid nature's fierce beating
A surge of wind blew forward and the traveler bowed back
Every inch forward was fought for beneath the storm's attack

Let me tell you a story about a traveler who pushed on
Storms in our lives pass as those of Good march ever on
Faith and hope, Light and Fire, pure in intent and heart
Travelers push onwards even though things pull us apart
Through dark storms, harsh environments, and sunny skies
Resolve keeps us going as we work towards the Paradise

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Phaestian, in the year 916 AF.
