The Oblation

To rethink the treatment of pain
One needs to consider its origin.

Nicator's folly is not self-perpetuating.
It needs our succour.

What is Civilisation
If not the manifestation of mortality?

The detritus of our lives
Wounds everything freely offered.

Two heads are better than one,
But a body moves in a single direction.

To maintain the Cycle,
We must be instruments of destruction.

Draw them kicking and screaming
In tow toward Death's embrace.

This is the offering She deserves,
Yet the agony continues.

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Mayan, in the year 914 AF.
