How many things
Can swirl around me
Like thunder on distant waves

I wish it'd come faster
I hate it when it's slow
They say that's better
Then easily seeing the end of the show

I saw you last night
Was the sky calling?
Did it say your name?
Could it tell I've been stalling?

How can there be something more than this?
How can something else exist?
Or is that what you wanted?
To have me close in case that missed?

I'm not sure what I believe
When you ask me these questions
I know being lonely is not the answer
I'm open to other suggestions

I have this time and these hands
I'm mulling over everything
I don't want to lie to you
But this truth is not easy

You're the best
I don't deny
I'm just trying to keep up
Hopefully, keep me on your mind
