How many words written
are painful truths hidden?

How many masks
hide a quiet plea?
While others are just
an opportunity seized?

Truth is,
you never really know another.
The trials faced,
inner demons,
laying heart and dreams
to waste.

So, what mask will you put on for others?
And what hand will you show in this life?

Cruelty?
Kindness?
Deceit?
Compassion?

Just don't hammer in a nail
to the coffin of another's heart.
We can always help each other up.
It's never too late for a new start.

Just don't be the reason
someone gives up trying,
and decides living
is no better than dying.
