A single seed
tumbles to the ground
exposed and vulnerable.
Heady scented soil
cushions perilous impact
embraces abject frailty.
Roots slowly slither
seeking out nourishment
damp soil invigorating.
A single stem
cracks through casing
stretching towards rebirth.
