Father, this is a prayer I want to say for You
You gave forgiveness for fear followed through
I was in the shadows not a quivering light
I forgot about everything I was. I lost my will to fight
Like a terrified child I hid
Forgetting You are my Father to Whom I could talk
Forgetting my teachers who never balked
I hid alone and so scared
I forgot about everyone who cared
I rose out of the shadows expecting anger and disdain
Instead a hand reached for me and remembered my name
Everyone feels fear but the past cannot be forgot
Let this be a lesson I had been taught
Father, I am just a small dwarf, unworthy of anything great
I will give You my all and this vow I make
Someday, I pray and I want it to be true
I want to be Your child through and through
Amen
