From the Scattered Winds We Came
--------------------------------
Ashes fell upon the earth beneath a blackened sky,
fires burn through the land as far as eyes could see,
hundreds of souls reach up with their hands and cry,
their homes destroyed as the city fell into the sea.
To the winds we scattered without a trace,
our souls vanishing into the history of Lord Aeon,
what names we had became memories to grace,
upon our books shelved in libraries for more than an eon.
From the scattered winds of the world we came,
bearing unfamiliar names of the time past,
holding our heads up without shame,
our ideals held without remorse to cast.
Born in a time when the world was young,
we fought bloody wars in caves without remorse,
guilds at odds with each other but yet strong,
upholding our beliefs in our hearts without recourse.
What do you have today to compare to us,
whose ideals differ from your own beliefs,
when our world once persevere in our cause,
to honor our Gods with truth and belief?
