As You Rest

Written by: Aarashi Rasul Laniara Vorondil, Prophet of Enlightenment
Date: Tuesday, March 14th, 2017
Addressed to: Everyone

When we lay ourselves down to sleep
We remember promises we did not keep
We remember oaths that we did indeed break
All because we were in a weakened state

We lay our heads down and do regret
Memories, things said we cannot forget
We hope in the morning when we do wake
That reality will be what we once knew as fake

Rest our heads gently, lay down head
Hope is alive, though you thought it dead
Remember as you do rest, my old dear friend
Some things last eternally and they do never end

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Scarlatan, in the year 737 AF.
