In our youth we learn and grow
Adapting, making mistakes you know
Yet we become older and we move past
Childhood is not meant to last

As we grow older, we learn Truth
We become elders, no longer youth
What we learned, we do start to teach
Our words youth now to reach

Yet with most elders we do learn
Mistakes, heartache, scars we earned
For some, folly does ever seem to make
Youth errors to continue take

Truth is truth, and in it are no lies
Whether lessons learned or despised
So heed your words, your actions do call
Pride cometh before a fall
