Mother

Written by: Renthir Veranius, Forestwalker
Date: Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016
Addressed to: Mycen Veranius, Tihuna Awha

Acceptance so genuine and unconditional was given by you
You took me in and made me whole
Your unabashed love for me has made me into a better man
Even when I turned my back on the namesake, you still were there
When I returned, you ushered me straightaway to the prime seat
As if no time of ill decision had ever occurred
You were there, as a beacon in the heavens, pointing me home
Your arms open, as the Mountain returned to the Forest
Fatal blade of the Lady Wrath, you taught me the ways of Nature
I am proud to call you Mother

The truth is, I couldn't love you more
The truth is, a mother is what a son is for

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Ero, in the year 728 AF.
