The Great Cycle

Addressed to: Everyone
Early green weaves as it burst
Through the barren, moist earth
Through the ground it does grow
Weathering seasons, sun and snow
From the plants we take our life
Living this life of peace and strife
Some of us return to Nature's fold
To protect Her, and for Her to hold
Yet some of us go so far away
Forgetting this debt we have to pay
For The Great Cycle is for all things
It matters not what you do or think
For just as green burst from earth
So too do we reenter the land of our birth
Green turns to brown and then it dies
As do we all, no matter how we try
For The Great Cycle, it never ends
We have a lifetime that we can spend
Do we spend it ignoring what gave us life
Or do we protect Nature, no matter the strife?
