Retirees, lost but not forgotten.

Retired souls are lost, but never forgotten. Here's something for each of them, and for each of you. You live on in the hearts of those you touch.

Can you imagine all the years?

Can you imagine all the tears.

Nothing imagining left to make.

For theirs only sadness left in your wake.

You filled our lives with such emotion.

You demanded attention with devotion.

You cried out watching me.

Now you're gone, and I'm left to be.

You were my friend you were my sire

You were the one that set me on fire

Who are you, to walk away

Giving up life, no more to say.

I feel the pain of your loss

I feel the waves the ocean to toss

I let a breath slip out of me

Where've you gone, are you finally free?

There's no hope in watching you.

There's nothing left in the things you do.

You've given up life and retired.

Wish you hadn't been so tired.

Didn't you know what it'd do to us?

I yelled I screamed, I cussed.

Didn't you know the pain you'd leave behind.

There's no replacing you, there's nothing to find.

You were a star in the nights sky

You flickered and then you died

The fates are so cruel to take you so fast

I thought what we had, would forever last

Now all we have is to continue on

Hold up are heads even though you're gone.

What we do, is to make you proud

Until we too, slip on that shroud.

But wherever you are I want you to know

No matter the loss, no matter the sorrow

No matter how things may now lie

I want you to know, we love you, goodbye.
