Whispers echo around softly, bittersweet and dour
A lonely heart breaks as the clock chimes the day past
All around hearts ache, yet for this crime none taken to task

A lonely melody whispers through the night
Singing melodies softly, tenderly, and so light
A lady stands strong, her past to fight and to conquer
This is the song that toils as it whispers to the night's hour
