life unfurled as fast as it could be gotten to
there were stumbles and faceplants
jumps, leaps, and swings

many times whirled with no forward momentum
there were whimpering chants
bumps, creeps, and slings

emotions curled and the body following suit
the reality finally supplants
lumps, seeps, and stings
