I had left as a child,
Wondering where I might go
The air was indeed mild
I thought I wished for snow

So I left upon my way
With nary a word to say back
I thought I knew the lay
I knew what cards were in my stack

So I left my home
I left for a far away land
I left it to roam
Destiny was mine to command

As I stumbled as I ran
I scraped many a knee
Nothing was going according to my plan
Everywhere strangers were looking at me

Can a child run
So fast that the love cannot reach
Can a child be stunned
By the words that continued to teach

I thought of my home
Of those I counted dear
Those who loved me so
That they still cared to hear

Their words comforted I
A stranger to my own self
Their hopes let me fly
Though my heart was bereft

I stumbled, and I did stray
I lost sight of what I knew
Yet, their voices continued to pray
That Light would guide me through and through

Now, I look to my home
To the only land I have ever cared
My heart repentant no longer wishes to roam
To my family, Dawnspear, I belong there

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Valnuary, in the year 694 AF.
