Just so you know
I killed a man today
He gave me his heart
And I pushed him away
He fell before me
He sank to his knees
He reached out with both hands
And begged me please
I tripped him to the floor
And stole the ground from beneath his feet
And I slashed at his wrists
But he kept pleading with me
The look in his eyes
So much pain
As he quietly sobbed
And choked out my name
He told me he loved me
That he always had
And he felt his world come crashing down
With words so sad
But my heart would not let me listen
So I turned and walked away
And I will suffer for what I've done
Because I killed a man today.
