The Other Side of the Looking Glass

On the other side of the looking glass I see
A mirror of myself, a fire burning brightly
Yet when I move left, you move right
What I see as day, you see as night

You have the same strength, the same desire
Yet to another you heed, another's lyre
I dance to what I know is true
Yet ironically, so do you

On the other side of the looking glass I see
A mirror of myself, sorrow, in agony
I see what can be, and so do you
Yet on the other side of the looking glass we give our dues

I have the same devotion, to my give cause
Never once shall I doubt, never one shall I pause
You see in me the honour so near
Yet in the end, as it must, it shall cost us dear

On the other side of the looking glass
What is in the future can not change what is past
What is now is what shall ever be
I looking at you looking at me for eternity.

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Phaestian, in the year 691 AF.
