everyone Lost

I look at the moon,
Counting constellations in the sky.
Everything vast and distant,
Beauty from far away.

Sudden,
The flash of a memory.
I know your face so well,
Shadowed within the starlit darkness.

Your once smiling eyes,
Now vacant and cold.
I reach out for your hand,
But you failed to try.

A veil of foggy grief,
Surrounds me now as I fall.
You will not speak,
As my silent tears flow.

I had hope that one day,
You'd come and visit soon.
Touch my hand and smile,
Then I remember I cannot stand.

The man who broke my heart,
Empty as the sky.
I realize that now,
I fear that I am lost.

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Glacian, in the year 668 AF.
