Addressed to: Everyone
Through my young jaded eyes, I do now see
All the things I have left far behind me.
My life's end result, somehow now happy
But that's just not the way that it started
Remembering back, I seem to recall
Two beautiful faces that began it all
A short furry man, a woman so tall
But when circumstance called, they departed
Then everything had changed, as some things must
Memories of happiness, turned to dust
For reasons unknown, and to me unjust
My misery soon to be imparted
An Ashtani slave now, better off dead
I useless indeed, or so it was said.
In a place where Chaos and Evil teemed
Sold unknowing, my future uncharted
An older slave, owned by a man on gleam
Hard work for us both, his habits, his scheme
She cared for me, until he made her scream
He struck her too hard, in death we've parted
I ran from that place, as far as I may
Yet I snuck back in the very next day
She had not moved, quietly she still lay
I owed her my life, my course now charted
He entered laughing, no part of him sad
Summoning Magic I knew not I had
My rage a lash of fire, burned him bad
His charred body I left there, discarded
I dragged her body as far as I may,
To the woods, where I once wanted to play
Her spirit gone, here her body would lay
A grove of silence, no joy imparted
I wandered the world, lost, what should I do?
Now unfeeling, not letting pain show through
Surviving, that was just all that I knew
Alone, no more would I be bighearted
I saw her one day, a warm memory
I'd tried to forget how it used to be
That time when they still loved me
But I could say nothing, too fainthearted
she remembered me then from so long ago
My heart beat again, it started to grow
My parents wanted their daughter to know
My path to happiness now... restarted
