Patience is courage-
The courage to stand your ground
And to breath in deeply
When the panic starts to burn.
It is the courage to stay
And fight 'til tides have turned.

Patience requires hope-
The hope that darkness is not eternal,
That life is worth living
As long as we keep our steady vigil.
That brilliant and unfaltering strength
Comes from a heart whose wish is simple-

For Patience comes from love-
The love that may be simple and small,
But does not waver in the wind
And guides us through our anxious fears.
It humbles and calms our minds
Such that hearts can see far and clear.
