Bitter is the empty hallow
Sunken eyes and bark sallow
Branches groan their sad request
Reach to the sky in gnarled protest
A shadow slips betwixt the trees
Ravens caw in nocturne's breeze
Fate is sealed amongst the gloom
Where secrets are forever entombed
