A rhyme

Chimes show the midnight hour
Footsteps announce approaching day
Fields of white moonlit flowers
Brightened by the sun's rays

The nightingale's sweet song lulling
Rich coloured skies dulling
Owl's soft hoot calling
Autumn leaves slowly falling

Silence shows approaching dark
Stillness announces bliss
Gentle songs of a lark
Echo through the abyss

Rain's soft patter calming
Ocean's deep waves foaming
Fire's bright glow warming
Flickers of light mesmerizing

Tranquility with a tint of sadness
Hatred bittersweet
Rapture with a tint of madness
To an unheard beat

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Mayan, in the year 602 AF.
