The Wind and the Sea

I watch the waves upon the shore,
mingle with the gray mists of morning
And ponder of "forevermore"
As my thoughts turn to mourning

I stand before the endless sea
And feel the tug, as it calls to me
I step. I stop. I hesitate
For the wind whispers for me to wait

For though the water is cool and calming
Strong winds will never keep it calm and clear
Think twice, resist, beware of drowning
Sometimes love must be approached with fear...

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Glacian, in the year 602 AF.
